The Hunter
Demographic predator
“You have a type. The clock is ticking.”
A Serial Killer Sandbox
"A serial killer simulation about a quiet man, a watchful detective, and the slow art of getting away with it."
Dossier
The Compulsion is a turn-based serial killer simulation set in a small American suburb. Plan each kill as a tactical body-simulation puzzle — with limb-by-limb consequences, pain, bleed, and panicking witnesses — then manage the evidence, the rumor, and the lone detective who's slowly building a case.
Every action ticks the clock. A noir sandbox inspired by Dwarf Fortress, Caves of Qud, and the bleak procedural dread of True Detective and American Psycho.
Mature content. The Compulsion depicts violence, criminal investigation, and dark psychological themes in a fictional setting. It is not a game for everyone.
Subjects
Three compulsions are coming. Each one leaves a different shape on the world — a different way to kill, a different way to cover the trail, a different way to get caught.
Demographic predator
“You have a type. The clock is ticking.”
Takes them home
“You don’t just kill them. You take them home.”
Builds a shrine
“Every kill leaves you with a souvenir. The shrine grows.”
Case Plan
No dates. The foundation — body sim, combat, witnesses, the watching detective — is already in and being playtested. What follows is the order of what comes next.

Field Notes
The studio has a name and the project has a home. More to come as the suburb takes shape — the body simulation, the detective AI, and the long, quiet game of evidence.
